In my school days we used to play some games, which were not known by most of the people. This game was played by our class students which were interesting. Two equal teams line up closing one another midway among the two teams. Place a hand kerchief. Number the players of each team from opposite ends of the line. The leader calls a number and the two players holding that numbers go after the hand kerchief. The player who is not successful in getting the handkerchief chases his opponent back, trying to tag him. One point is scored for the player returning safely to his line with the hand kerchief. The team scoring ten points first wins the game. Our team used to win each match we played.

As I said in my earlier posts, I love to read books. The ability to read opens up all kinds of doors into the world of knowledge and imagination. A good book can enthrall you and transport you to a world of magic as in Harry Potter or a sea voyage as in Treasure Island. You must identify the authors you like the most and read their works. Some people favor certain genres, or categories of books, like science fiction, mysteries, plays and poems. Some people read only non-fiction books or magazines. Yet another category of people exists who are not very choosy about what they read. Reading is a pleasure, if you take enough time to read a book read at your own pace, read slowly savoring the words and the story. Discuss the book you have read with your friends. Think of alternate endings to the stories you have read.

Yesterday evening was very different in the sense that it was more beautiful than other evenings. I was standing in the terrace of my apartment during sun set time. The sunset was just spectacular. The yellow beam of light slowly disappeared and the sky was slowly beginning to be painted with a tinge of reddish orange. Just before the sun went down, it was visible as an entire circle, fully yellow in color. It was really beautiful to watch. Also it was cloudy above the sun. So rays from the sun slowly broke back from within the clouds creating a mix of Grey and straw yellow, which was great to see. i really missed my digital camera that I always carry. I have given it to my friend now. I remained in my terrace for more than an hour enjoying this pleasant sight. The wonders being created by the colours of nature is truly amazing. In addition to this there was a steady breeze that was very cool and was flowing through my skin. It was a great evening for me. Alone and at my will to spend time, I enjoyed every minute at my terrace as I sat enjoying nature.

I was glad to read about the activities of ‘The Green Brigade’ in an article printed in a leading newspaper. The green Brigade is doing a great service to the city through their ‘waste management’ program. I feel it is high time that all citizens woke up to some hard facts regarding environmental pollution. If we all continue to add to the pollution levels of our city, very soon we would have transformed this garden city to an arid wasteland. We must actively cooperate with the efforts of this organization and pledge to discontinue the usage of plastic bags. We must also learn to segregate our garbage for recycling purposes.

In my opinion the Green Brigade s doing a commendable job and it is the duty of each citizen to help them adopt the approach “think globally, and act locally” toward the environment in order to preserve our natural wealth.

Parents must spend their time with their child, so that they can understand their needs. Sharing creative time with your child should at any cost be a top propriety of your everyday schedule. Chalk out family activities along with your child- you can eat together, worship together, play together, assign roles and read aloud a play together, participate together in some service activities and have family celebrations. My younger brother is a thirteen year old boy. He is intelligent and innocent. He is mischievous and bold; he is admired by elders whereas the youngsters of his age groups know him to be the most mischievous boy. He makes fool of everybody by his wit and improvised tricks on April 1st which is all fools day. His childish pranks have known no bounds. He makes his friends weep at one moment and laugh at another moment. In the house he spares none of his brothers or sisters. If something is amused or wrong it must be attributed to him only. My mother is particularly careful to hide cookies and sweets from his eagle eyes but with no success. He is very much afraid of my father. If at all he spared any body from his pranks it is in our whole house. He appears to be rough and tough but in fact he is soft and good at heart.

In this way he makes all of us happy at his naughty behavior, ready wit, pleasing personality and charming smile. My brother is little naughty and mischievous boy but we all like him.
